This app allows you to randomize a diagnose from a list of diagnoses. There are 27 medical specialties and 1268 diagnoses to choose from, including all the diagnoses you need to know when graduating from medical school. You can create your own list of diagnoses by adding them to “Favourites”, or you can use the existing lists of diagnoses. By using the “Notes”-feature, you may add notes to the diagnoses.
Why randomize? The intention is to take advantage of problem-based learning and to mimic the situation you will face at exams or in the emergency department as a junior doctor. Focus and concentration decreases if studying becomes repetitive, e.g. by learning multiple diagnoses in a preset order as presented by a medical book.
How to use this app:
Choose the desired list of diagnoses or make your own list designed for your next exam. Hit the randomize-button on the navigation bar. Quiz yourself on the diagnose displayed on the top; e.g. definition, etiology, symptoms and findings, treatment etc. When you feel mastery of this diagnose, hit the randomize-button again to get a new one.
